[This is now the ARCHIVE web site only for this course, which ran 2005 to 2020. Beryl Graham was Programme Leader from 2010, Sarah Cook was module leader, and from 2013 the low-residency structure offered a Short Course week in London.] Do you want to develop a career in curating? MA Curating at the University of Sunderland is the only course in the UK to specialise in the concerns of curating across the fields of art, design, and media, including new media, and live art. NEW from 2013 - low-residency options! To fit around the work or family commitments of national and international candidates, this 1-year full time course is delivered primarily in 3 intensive sessions of 3-7 days in Sunderland and Central London. Weekly online or onsite contact supports students in completing assignments. International students can therefore be based in Sunderland and qualify for Visa requirements, and non-international students can travel for intensive pre-planned weeks. World-leading research feeds into this course (see staff and visitors, and CRUMB
web site). The faculty also has a unique doctoral programme in practice-led curating research for those considering academic progression.
